Daesung Measuring Co., Ltd. began with the production of gas meters, and now supplies urban gas utilities and installation companies with various meters and measuring devices and gas pressure regulators.

In 1987, Daesung Measuring Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture company with Schlemm Verger Limited of France, advanced sophisticated enterprise specializing in precision metering instruments and systems. Domestic production of gas meters began in 1999, and soon the DSG-2, 3 and 5 class Korean household metering models were completely localized. Through sustained product quality and technical developments over previous models, these became leading brands in the Korean metering systems sector. With steady and consistent marketing overseas, exports to around the world net with great success, leading multiple awards, including the top $3 million exporter and the Prime Minister’s Awards in 2002, the top $5 million exporter and the 40th International Trade Day President’s Award , and the Commerce, Industry, and Energy Minister’s Prize, among others.

To garner recognition as an international enterprise, Daesung Measuring Co., Ltd. laid a foundation as a specialized manufacturer of gas meters, pressure regulators, integrated calorimeters and other instruments, and obtained numerous formal accreditations. Such professional certifications as KS, IS9001, formal Korean accreditations, international certification approval for (NMI), and ISO/IEC 17025 certifications have provided global recognition for its quality and technology, establishing Daesung Measuring Co., Ltd as a major supplier in Korean and international markets alike. In particular, through research and development into full computer automation of sonic nozzle gas meter inspection apparatus pre-test functions such as leak testing, idle functions, and the like, a first in Korea, a decrease in uncertainty has been achieved.
